The Policy Research Institute and the Mid-West University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation and collaboration.

The Policy Research Institute and the Mid-West University, Birendranagar, Surkhet, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation and collaboration amid a ceremony organized at the Policy Research Institute. The MOU was signed by the Registrar of the University, Prof. Dr. Narayan Prasad Paudel, and the Office Manager of the Policy Research Institute, Mr. Laxman Bhattarai.
The delegates attending the ceremony consisted of the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Nanda Bahadur Singh; the Dean of the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Liladhar Tiwari; the Executive Director of the Planning, Development and Monitoring Directorate and the Coordinator of the MWU Policy Laboratory, Prof. Dr. Chandra Prasad Rijal; the Executive Director of the MWU Planning, Development and Evaluation Directorate, Dr. Dinesh Raj Bhuju; and the IT Expert at the Secretariat of the VC, Assistant Professor Mr. Panch Dev Bhatta. The officials from the Policy Research Institute present on the occasion were, the Head of the Information and Knowledge Management Department, Dr. Deepak Kumar Khadka; the Head of the Research Department, Dr. Hari Sharma Neupane; Senior Research Fellows, Dr. Mukti Rijal, Dr. Khaganath Adhikari, and Dr. Kalpana Khanal; and the Analyst, Mr. Gopal Acharya.
The area for cooperation and collaboration as detailed in the MOU includes public policy-relevant research; activities related to the Policy Laboratory; dialogues on public policy; research capacity development programs including training, seminars, and workshops; scientific meetings, research dissemination, and publications; and cooperation, exchange, and sharing of resources including human resources, information, data, materials, libraries, intellectual property, and technology.
On the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of the Mid-West University, Prof. Dr. Nanda Bahadur Singh, and the Policy Research Institute team shared their happiness with the new relationship so established and the hope and vision for cooperation and collaboration in areas of mutual interest and activities including the Policy Lab Initiative of the Mid-West University.
