Prof. Dr. Sarad Onta

Prof. Onta holds an MBBS degree from USSR in 1984, MPH from the UK in 1992 and PhD from Denmark in 1999. He is a former Professor (community medicine and public health) and Assistant Dean (Academic) of the Institute of Medicine under Tribhuvan University. He has worked as a member-secretary of Nepal Health Research Council.

Currently, Prof. Onta is the Country Coordinator of People’s Health Movement and chair of Physicians for Social Responsibility, Nepal. Prof. Onta has many articles in various national and international journals to his credit.

Pushpa Bhusal

Pushpa Bhusal is a member of the House of Representatives, a whip of the Nepali Congress party and a senior advocate. She has been practicing law for more than 25 years and is associated with Nepal Law Society for 20 years. She is also a woman rights activist, former member of the Constituent Assembly of Nepal. She holds a Master’s degree in political science and Bachelor’s degree in Law.

Prof. Dr. Bipin Adhikari

A Professor of Law under Kathmandu University, Bipin Adhikari is also a senior advocate, constitutional expert and policy analyst. He holds PhD from Delhi University in constitutional law. Dr. Adhikari is with proven academic and professional expertise in constitutional law and public policies. He is with expertise also in institution-building, human rights, access to justice, infrastructure development, legal reforms and democratic governance processes.

Dr. Binda Pandey

Born in 1966, Binda Pandey has four decades of experiences on gender justice, rights activism and policy making sphere.  Politically, she has served as a founder member of National Women Commission between 2002 and 2004 and member of Constituent Assembly between 2008 and 2012 and also of federal parliament since 2017. Currently, Dr Pandey chairs GEFONT-Trade Union Policy Institute, a think tank organization of GEFONT.

Dr Pandey holds a PhD in ‘Women Empowerment in Politics’ from Kathmandu University in 2017 after completing her Master’s degree in Gender and Development from AIT in 2002.  

Prof. Dr. Mana Prasad Wagley

A renowned educationist of Nepal, Prof. Mana Prasad Wagley has engaged in higher education instructional processes of Nepal for 40 years besides working as a Professor of Tribhuvan University for 30 years. He served Kathmandu University, as a Dean, for five years and as Professor for 10 years and currently he is with Kathmandu University.

 He has earned degrees of MS and PhD from Southern Illinois University, USA. Education policy, STEAM, TVET and NQF are some of his areas of professional interests.

Dr. Netra Prasad Timsina

Dr Netra Prasad Timsina has obtained his undergraduate degree in Agriculture from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Tribhuwan University Nepal and post graduate degree from the University of Reading, UK (1998-2002) in Political Economy of Natural Resources Management. 

He has gained extensive knowledge and experiences on political economy of development and policy research on natural resources management including the institutional reform at national, regional and global level.  He has also gained experiences working with social movements primarily dealing with structural causes of poverty, inequality and injustices in South Asia. He has more than 30 years of work experiences on linking macro and micro policies and politics.
