Biography
Soniya Basyal has received her Masters’ degree in Agricultural Economics from Agriculture and Forestry University, Chitwan, Nepal. As an Analyst at Information and Knowledge Management Department of Policy Research Institute, she is actively engaged in information management, report review and publication, and organization of Public Policy Dialogue.
Her academic career reflects agricultural background with specialization on economics of production. She gained experience of research works through the involvement in research-based projects organized by different government and non-government organizations. Bashyal is a proficient speaker with good communication and information management skills.
Soniya has expertise in research design, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, project monitoring, evaluation, report writing and document review. Ms. Bashyal pursued a public policy fellowship from Daayitwa Nepal, in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Government of Nepal. She also worked as a Research Intern at Policy Research Institute before joining the position of Analyst.
