Rajendra Khanal, PhD

Biography

Dr. Rajendra Khanal is a qualified food technologist and experienced environmental Engineer. Dr Khanal has earned his PhD in Urban Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan. He specializes in water quality modeling, environmental toxicology, urban drainage, climate change models and environmental management and has over 11 years of professional work experience in techno-managerial, policy research, capacity building, university-level teaching, programme development, project management, environmental risk assessment, and environmental leadership.

Dr. Khanal has published a number of peer-reviewed research publications, has guided students pursuing PhD and Master’s degrees besides having proven work experience in urban drainage and water quality management in the cities such as Tokyo, Japan, Hanoi, Vietnam and Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia.
