Dr. Prakash Kumar Shrestha is currently the Executive Director of the Economic Research Department, Nepal Rastra Bank. He also served various offices of the Bank in different capacities since 1997. On deputation, he served as the Economic Adviser to the Ministry of Finance and Vice Chairman of Province Planning Commission, Lumbini Province. He obtained M.A.(Economics) from TU in 1996, a Master (Economics and Finance) from Curtin University, Australia in 2004 and PhD (Economics) from The New School University, the USA in 2012.
