Dr. Dilli Raj Khanal
Biography

Dr. Dilli Raj Khanal, a former Member of the Parliament and National Planning Commission has continuously engaged in research, teaching and social works after earning his PhD in 1986. He teaches International Political Economy to PhD students at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, TU. He is the founder Chairman of the Institute for Policy Research and Development (IPRAD) established in 1995. 

He has published several books, policy papers and reports individually and jointly to his credit. He is the lead author of the Nepal Human Development Report 2020 published jointly by the NPC and UNDP. He is the author of the paper Political Economy of Self-reliant Development: Theories and Practices in Nepal in a book Political Economy of Nepal 2017 published by the Central Department of Economics, TU. A book on Contemporary Issues on Global and Nepalese Economy: Mainstreaming the Real Policy Agenda was published by Adroit Publishers, New Delhi (2014),  Some of the other important books published individually or jointly include Social Security/Protection in Nepal, (2012),  Economic Integration in South Asia: Issues and Pathways (2010), Aid Effectiveness under PRSP in Nepal (2008), Understanding Reforms in Nepal: Political Economy and Institutional Perspectives (2005), Macroeconomic Policies, Shocks and Poverty Reduction in Nepal: Simulation Based Quantitative  Analysis (2005), Development Planning in Asia (1993), Financing Public Sector Development Expenditure in Selected Countries: Nepal (1988) and Public Expenditure in Nepal: Growth, Pattern and Impact (1988).
