June 3, 2024

Each of the three departments at the Institute—the Department of Management, the Department of Research, and the Department of Information and Knowledge Management—conducted a comprehensive two-day briefing and discussion programme. This initiative aimed to apprise the newly appointed Executive Chairman at the Policy Research Institute about the departments’ current status, ongoing programmes, and immediate requirements.

On January 18, Mr. Laxman Prasad Bhattarai, Head of the Management Department, and on June 21, Dr. Hari Sharma, Head of the Research Department, along with Dr. Deepak Kumar Khadka, Head of Information and Knowledge Management Department, led the briefings. Their presentations covered the department’s responsibilities, human resources, program progress, challenges, and requirements. The employees also actively participated in the discussion, providing valuable insights.

The executive chairman, in a show of his confidence in the institute, encouraged the staff to continue the best practices, correct deficiencies, and make full use of the institute’s autonomy and close relationship with the government. This call to action is aimed at inspiring and motivating the staff to meet the government’s expectations and make the institute resourceful with the help of the government and collaboration with the academic sector.
