PRI Held a Zoom Interaction on the Draft of Agricultural Policy, 2077

On 30 March 2021, Policy Research Institute organized a zoom meeting to discuss the National Agricultural Policy (2077) drafted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. The Ministry asked PRI to review the draft for comments. Accordingly, PRI invited farmers’ associations, agricultural experts, researchers and government representatives – in line with its modus operandi of consulting with all stakeholders in such a process – to participate in the meeting and share their ideas, concerns and perspectives.

The participants appreciated the Ministry’s realization of a new agricultural policy and thanked the Ministry for initiating the process, and pointed out the areas that need further work and improvement, both in terms of format and content. PRI will compile all the comments and suggestions and share it with the Ministry.

The event was attended by 38 participants including PRI’s thematic experts and researchers.
