Policy Research Institute and the Institute of Foreign Affairs Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

On September 10, Policy Research Institute (PRI) and the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) affirming collaboration between the two think tanks in areas of mutual interests. The MoU enables them to jointly engage in research and publications, exchange of expertise and resources, workshops and seminars, and multilateral collaboration with other academic bodies and institutions.

On the occasion, the two think tanks also discussed initial ideas about conducting a joint study on the mainstream think tanks in South Asia and China. Exploring the bottlenecks of trade facilitation was also discussed to be the other potential area in which the two can collaborate.

Present on the occasion from PRI were Dr. Bishnu Raj Upreti, Executive Chairperson; Dr. Deepak Kumar Khadka, Head of Research Department; Mr. Purushottam Tiwari, Office Manager; Dr. Mukunda Kattel, Head of Information and Knowledge Management Department; and Dr. Anuj Tiwari, Associate Research Fellow (National Interest, Foreign Policy and Strategic Affairs). IFA was represented by Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, Executive Director; Dr. Rupak Sapkota, Deputy Executive Director; Mr. Madhavji Shrestha, Senior Resource Person; and Mr. Matrika Poudyal, Resource Person/Spokesperson.
