Meeting of Delegation of Policy Research Institute with Hon’ble Prime Minister

A delegation of the Policy Research Institute led by the Office Manager, Mr. Laxman Prasad Bhattarai, met the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at the residence of the Prime Minister and apprised about the works and activities being carried out by the Institute. The delegation briefly highlighted the research works carried out by the Institute and the ongoing policy research and informed about the plan of policy research work intended for the government next financial year.

The delegation also made a special request to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for the appointment of the Executive Chairman as soon as possible as the post of Executive Chairman has been vacant for more than a year, and this has affected the performance of the work of the Institute.

The Hon’ble Minister assured that the Executive Chairman would be appointed by the Government within a few days and suggested that the Institute should carry out evidence-based research to support the Government’s policies and programs.

The Policy Research Institute delegation comprised Mr. Laxman Prasad Bhattarai (Office Manager), Dr. Hari Sharma Neupane (Head of Research Department), and Dr. Khagnath Adhikari (Senior Research Fellow).
