Interaction Program for a Study on Institutional Strengthening of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy

The Policy Research Institute (PRI) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) held an interaction program on 16th April 2025 on “Institutional Strengthening of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Effective Implementation of Nepal’s Economic Diplomacy.” The program was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singhadurbar, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Institutional Strengthening of MoFA is an indispensable pre-requisite for the effective implementation of economic diplomacy in Nepal. The interaction program was organized to collect data for the research report on this subject being prepared by the Policy Research Institute.

Dr. Khaga Nath Adhikari, Senior Research Fellow at PRI, presented on economic diplomacy and the institutional strengthening of MoFA. On behalf of the Ministry, all participants shared their insightful opinions on Nepal’s economic diplomacy and MoFA’s institutional strengthening.  

The program was moderated by Mr. Lakshuman Khanal, Joint Secretary of the Ministry. Joint Secretaries, Under Secretaries, and Section Officers of MoFA participated in the program, and researchers from the Center for Foreign Policy and Strategic Affairs, Policy Research Institute, facilitated the interaction.
