Consultation Meeting of Policy Research Institute (PRI) and Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC)

A delegate of Policy Research Institute (PRI) met with the officials of Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC) to follow up on the earlier consultation meeting and communications regarding selection of policy research agenda, Memorandum of Understanding and possible area of collaboration between two institutions. In the meeting, two institutions agreed to proceed with a MOU and continue discussions for collaboration, cooperation and partnership in policy research, dialogue, dissemination, and resource sharing. NARC officials expressed satisfaction over the fact research suggestions made by NARC have been included in the Five-Year Strategic Plan of PRI. These projects and other current research needs will be the basis for the collaboration between two institutions.

Present at the interaction from NARC were Dr. Deepak Bhandari, Executive Director; Dr. Yuga Nath Ghimire, Director; Dr. Swoyam Prakash Shrestha, Director (Livestock and Fisheries Research); Dr. Kashyap Kumar Mishra, Director (Financial Administration); Dr. Krishna Timsina, Chief, National Agriculture Policy Research Center; and Yogendra Acharya, Scientist.

Similarly, present on behalf PRI were Dr. Deepak Kumar Khadka, Head of Research Department; Dr. Hari Sharma Neupane, Senior Research Fellow; Dr. Sarmila Tandukar, Research Fellow; and Dr. Sabin Basi Associate Research Fellow.
