Policy Research Institute, Narayanhiti

The Policy Research Institute is conducting a study on lawsuits against untouchability and discrimination, their legal consequences, and social impact in the context of the practical implementation of the fundamental right against untouchability and discrimination guaranteed by Article 24 of the Constitution.

A discussion was held at the Policy Research Institute with the consultants and collaborators involved in this study to plan field visits and to refine the research tool prepared for the survey conducted through direct interviews with discrimination survivors. The discussion brought more clarity on the specific purpose of the study and refined the questionnaire.

This study aims to prepare policy recommendations based on the documentation and analysis of the lived experience of a racially discriminated person who approached the state mechanism for action as per the constitution and the law of the land.
