Policy Research (PRI) and Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) Meet

Today, a meeting was held between the delegates of the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and the Policy Research Institute (PRI) at the office of the PRI. The meeting explored possible areas of collaboration in the field of science, technology and innovation policy, and agreed to initiate the process with a general memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two agencies. The MoU, to be entered into soon, will pave the way for the identification of specific issues on which to collaborate and also for the development of an appropriate modus operandi.

The delegation of the NAST included Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sunil Babu Shrestha, Senior Technologist & Spokesperson Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhungel, and Senior Scientific Officer Dr. Lok Ranjan Bhatta. Present from the PRI were Dr. Bishnu Raj Upreti, Executive Chairperson; Dr. Deepak Kumar Khadka, Head of Research Department; Dr. Muktiram Rijal, Senior Research Fellow and Coordinator of the Governance and Public Service Delivery Cluster; Mr. Purushottam Tiwari, Office Manager; and Dr. Mukunda Kattel, Head of Information and Knowledge Management Department.
